I’d rather install some Linux distro and restore the laptop to its previous glory that install FydeOS and turn it into a feeble Chromebook. And why would I willingly tie myself to Google’s apron strings???

Not only that, but if China produced it for its citizenry, you don’t wan to touch it. Automatic updating is a deplorable recent development in operating systems and programming, to be avoided at all costs. In short, no thanks.
