If you’re like most adults, chances are you find flossing a laborious chore you never want to do. Thankfully, the electric toothbrush manufacturer Soocas has picked up on this common complaint amongst busy adults and is developing a product that will make it easier than ever to brush and floss simultaneously. With the Soocas Neos 2-in-1 Brushing & Flossing Electric Toothbrush, you get the best of both worlds, thanks to electricity and water. Find out more of my reactions to this device in this review.

What’s in the Box
The Soocas Neos Dual-Action Electric Toothbrush arrived in a simple package not much larger than a shoebox. It somewhat resembled a shoebox, too, as the box was plain white with no label or branding. This is to be expected, as this dual-action toothbrush is still on Kickstarter and not part of the Soocas main product lineup at this time.
Despite this small footprint and simplistic packaging, the manufacturer crammed a lot into the small, white box. The box contained everything I needed to use the toothbrush immediately (aside from water for the flossing feature, of course).
The Soocas Neos comes with:
- 1x Soocas Neos 2-in-1 Brushing & Flossing Electric Toothbrush
- 1x wireless charging dock with USB-A cable
- 2x toothbrush heads with plastic covers
- 1x travel bag for your toothbrush components
- 1x water tank cleaning brush
The only thing I felt was missing from this package was a quick start guide or instruction manual. However, I figured out how to use the toothbrush with a bit of trial and not much error.
Hefty, Yet Simple Design
One thing I noticed as soon as I unboxed the Soocas Neos electric toothbrush was how large and heavy the toothbrush’s body felt. It’s much heavier than other heavily marketed electric toothbrushes, like the Quip Standard Electric Toothbrush or the Oral-B Pro 1000. However, there’s a distinct reason for this: to compensate for the water reservoir that makes flossing possible.
Despite its size, I didn’t find the Soocas Neos challenging to grip while brushing. It also didn’t feel so heavy or tire my arm while I brushed. And as the company states in its product marketing, having a single item that can both brush and floss saves time and counter space, as you no longer need dental floss containers or boxes of individual flossers.
Overall, the design makes it easy to use. The shape is easy to grip in your hand, and the brush head is shaped well for the mouth. The water reservoir can be filled at the top and emptied quickly through the bottom when it’s time to charge the brush or clean it. When you’re done using it, the toothbrush can easily nest in its wireless charging dock.
Plenty of Settings for Your Brushing Needs
Not wanting to wait to try the Soocas Neos electric toothbrush, I opened one of the included toothbrush heads, attached it to the body, and filled the reservoir with water.
As I mentioned, the manufacturer didn’t include any instructions in the package. However, the design is simple enough to figure out within a few minutes.
The toothbrush includes three buttons:
- Deep Clean Mode: starts the toothbrush, then pulses before using the floss feature.
- Quick Clean Mode: starts the brushing and flossing mode simultaneously to speed up the brushing process.
- Intensity Button: toggles between gentle, standard, and strong brush/floss intensity.
These buttons allow you to use the toothbrush in various ways. For those who want to clean everything quickly, using the middle button engages the toothbrush and flosser for a 30- to 50-second “quick clean” using the intensity mode you set. Otherwise, you can press the top button to use the full, “deep clean” mode for a multi-minute brushing session. You can also change the intensity at any time, which is excellent for those who may want to start gently but need the intensity to clean a specific area.
I’d never used a water flosser before, but the brushing and flossing features worked well. My teeth felt clean, my gums weren’t sore, and everything looked shiny in the mirror.
The deep clean mode was a joy to use, as I felt like the quick clean mode wasn’t long enough – yet both modes got the job done when I used them. Also, the “strong intensity” worked well at getting popcorn kernels out from hard-to-reach places the night my kid and I had a movie night.
Simple USB Charging, But Bring Your Own Brick
The Soocas Neos 2-in-1 Brushing & Flossing Electric Toothbrush has a built-in rechargeable battery with a 30-day usage rating. The toothbrush also comes with a wireless charging base and USB cable. You can rest the toothbrush in the dock and let it charge when it indicates the battery is low.
Unfortunately, the package includes no USB power brick to plug the charging base into an outlet. Thankfully I had a spare single-port charger sitting around the house unused, but some people may have to buy one to recharge the toothbrush.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Soocas Neos Dual-Action Electric Toothbrush is a great personal hygiene device. I was incredibly impressed with its settings and features. Also, the carrying case and cleaning brush were excellent little bonuses to include.
Although I mentioned the lack of power brick and instructions, I feel these are relatively minor issues. The company may include these things when they begin mass production, as you can only get the toothbrush through the Kickstarter project, at a minimum of $134, at present.
I plan to continue using this handy gadget to maintain my oral hygiene and look forward to years of use.
