Have you been dragging your heels, unsure whether you should make the jump to Windows 11? Maybe some of the upcoming features, like energy saver, that also work with desktops, will entice you. Microsoft announced that the feature is part of the newest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build. If you jump in now and buy Windows 11 Pro at a super-low price, you’ll be able to take advantage of this feature.
Microsoft announced to the Canary Channel this week that the energy saver feature is part of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26002. It was explained that Energy Saver “extends and enhances battery saver.” This is an existing Windows feature that helps conserve battery power on devices, such as laptops and tablets. It reduces the background activity of apps and services, optimizes system settings, and adjusts display brightness to extend battery life.
Energy saver does much the same thing. Microsoft explains, “It is an easy way to extend battery life and reduce energy use by trading off some system performance. It can be toggled on and off via Quick Settings in the system tray or configured to run automatically whenever the device reaches a certain battery percentage.”
But it’s not just for mobile/portable devices: it will also be advantageous for desktops. I, along with many others, am concerned about the environment and where we’re headed. If you are as well, limiting your use of plastic bags, driving a Hybrid or electric car, etc. you can also do your part with this upcoming Windows feature. Even if you’re on a desktop, it will work to save energy when your PC is plugged in.
Notably, the energy feature isn’t available yet and isn’t confirmed for a future update, yet Microsoft is excitedly announcing it in the newest Preview Build, so it’s something the company is excited about, asking the Windows Insiders to test it.
You can get in on the excitement now and be there when the energy saver feature makes it to an update by buying Windows 11 Pro. Through December 3, 2023, you can get it for the low price of $22.97. Alternatively, you can get Windows 11 Home for the same price.
While energy saver isn’t part of the release just yet, there are plenty of other reasons to jump on the Windows 11 bandwagon. It’s designed for convenience, with an interface that’s super-easy to navigate. It has great security, too, biometric login TPM 2.0, Smart App Control, and Windows Studio Effects.
If you’re a gamer, this advanced OS allows you to play all the latest games the way they’re meant to be played. When you’re not gaming, you’ll get more done with several improved productivity features, like voice typing and snap layouts.
This is also a lifetime license for Windows 11 Pro. So for $22.97, you’ll have these features and upcoming ones, too, such as energy saver. Just be sure you have 4GB RAM and 40GB hard drive space.
