There are many streaming services to choose from, and all of them have their own movies catalog. You may have plenty of movies saved in Netflix, and they won’t be available in Prime Video or HBO Max. An application like Plex can combine every movie and TV title you need – but it’s not the only one. This guide discusses some of the best Plex alternatives and their ability to combine all streaming services.
1. Reelgood
Supported Platforms: Web, iOS, Android
Price: Free
Reelgood is a streaming hub with over 300 free and paid entertainment apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Tubi, Prime Video, HBO, and more. It’s a great option for those who want to watch a wide variety of US/UK television shows. The streaming hub is entirely free to use, and you only need a Google account to log in. No matter which title you want to watch, you can rent/buy or get it for free with available apps.
Combining all the streaming services happens quickly. Just head to Reelgood’s Account section on top, and add the streamers of your choice. The website has a New, Coming and Leaving section to keep you up to date on popular content. It allows you to create your own custom lists of favorite titles, even though they originate on different OTT platforms.
Do you like to watch free content? Look for the On Free Services option. For other titles, Reelgood’s algorithms point to free streaming services when available. If a title is blocked in your country because of your IP address, Reelgood unblocks it through ExpressVPN and other VPN services.
2. JustWatch
Supported platforms: Web, iOS, Android, FireTV, LG TV, Samsung TV, Xbox
Price: Free with paid option
JustWatch is another popular streaming aggregator with a massive collection of titles. Whether you like to watch top drama shows or video game movies, you will be spoiled for choice. It also hosts a large collection of musical movies and free anime videos for every category, ranging from horror to comedy.
Its biggest highlight, though, is its ability to combine movies and TV shows from different streamers. After logging in, click the prominent + button, where you can add a wide variety of streaming services. These include YouTube Premium, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and many more.
JustWatch allows you to select your country from the User Account section. This helps it serve local streaming services from around the world. Moreover, you can rent or stream JustWatch titles via your current streaming subscriptions. Additionally, check whether free versions are available. If you want a high-quality picture/video, choose from the available HD and 4K options.
3. Flick Metrix
Supported platforms: Web
Price: Free
Based in the UK, Flick Metrix is one of the best free streaming aggregator services. It looks like a small project, but the website is integrated with a handy list of major streamers: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, iTunes, Amazon Video, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount, Peacock, Mubi, STARZ, and BritBox.
Flick Metrix combines multiple streaming services and allows you to select as many as you would like. Apart from a title search, you can also use a timeline slider to search for movies and TV shows released in a certain time period, ranging all the way from the 1940s to the present. It houses an impressive collection of classics that you might not find elsewhere.
Each movie title is sorted according to available subscription and Rent/Buy services. For every flick, irrespective of its streaming service, you can create watch lists, add favorites, recommend them, or trash the title. Apart from titles, Flick Metrix also aggregates movie reviews from Critic, MetaCritic and IMDB.
4. PlayOn
Supported platforms: iOS, Android, Mac, PC
Price: Free with paid option
Most streaming aggregation services only let you access the different streaming apps. PlayOn is a unique provider that lets you record and download movies and shows to watch offline, anytime. However, you should first check the legality of downloading streaming content.
For regular streaming, PlayOn offers access to different channels, including Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, and more. Unlike the previous streaming aggregators in our list, the offering is served a bit differently. Instead of showing all the titles through a search bar, you are required to choose your favorite channels.
After a cursory login into your selected streaming app, you will be able to access your app dashboard on the PlayOn app. To use PlayOn’s recording feature, download the recordings to the cloud or to your PC. You get seven free recordings for a seven-day free trial. There are no advertisements in the recordings.
5. PlayPilot
Supported platforms: Web, iOS, Android
Price: Free
PlayPilot is a free, yet feature-rich streaming guide with a cool user interface. Its range of services includes all major subscription services, such as Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. You also get free services such as Crackle, CrunchyRoll, Tubi, Facebook Watch, and PlutoTV.
To combine multiple streaming services, PlayPilot has a My Services menu. You can either add all the available streaming services or choose the ones you have an account with. Search for your title in the search box, or browse through the list. Once you finalize a title, stream it in one of the apps.
For each movie/show title, stream it from multiple subscription apps. You can also rent/buy from hose services. Check a movie against the Seen filter, add it to a watch list, and hide it if you don’t want to see it again. Apart from the USA/UK, you can fine-tune your regional preferences with content from Australia, India, Canada, Germany, and more.
6. Stremio
Supporting platforms: Web, Windows, Mac, Linux, Android TV
Price: Free
Stremio, like other streaming guides, lets you watch your favorite title in an app of your choice, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO, and many others. Apart from the movies and TV shows, you can watch your favorite YouTube channels, such as T-Series, PewDiePie, WWE, Mr. Beast, completely ad-free via add-ons to your network.
You can add any title to a Library and choose your favorite streaming services. Stremio offers built-in access to many free apps, such as Tubi or Crackle, but in some cases, like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix, you’ll have to play the title in an external player.
If you are an avid watcher of the latest movies, Stremio has plenty of good recommendations. The shows are categorized according to Popular Movies, Popular Series, and Public Domain Movies. As the Web-based Stremio app is a work in progress, you’ll get much better results by downloading Stremio on Windows, Mac, and Android TV.
If you have a use for combined streaming services, consider this list of apps to watch videos with your online friends. Many of us are online often on a mobile device and don’t use a PC, but you can stream and watch your favorite content on an iPhone.
